ANTIQUE ORIGINAL early TOP HAT with faux BEAVER FUR and SILK LINED ! Circa 1800's era , possibly late Victorian period, this auction is for a VERY NICE gentleman's TOPHAT, marked "Extra Quality" and "KNOX...New York" on inside. Great size that stands about 6-1/2" tall (shown on lady bust in 1st photo for size reference only...lady not included), measures just over 12" long, oval opening measures about 6-3/8" x 8". HARD TO FIND in this overall great condition for age, no hat box, but it has been very well preserved. Just a very few minor wear points to black fur along brim edges, very clean inside and out. Someone has penciled initials "GFB" on inside, and these same letters are also stamped into the inside leather head band. This item comes from a very nice estate collection, family owned, life-long antique enthusiasts. We will be offering many unique items, collectibles, fine antiques and furniture from this estate.
