1890s Atlanta GA Journal Ledger Marietta Street Mission

Up for auction is an 8" by 10 1/2" hardcover book with marbled boards.
It appears that this journal was used at first by a group called The Loyal Temperance Legion in 1890. The First 7 pages are filled with minutes of that group and then crossed out and the rest of the book contains minutes of the YPSCE. The first page details the organizational meeting of the Loyal Temperance legion of Marietta Street Mission on Jan. 20, 1890. The only names mentioned with that group are: Miss Sue Hollaway, Miss Reynolds,Miss Wessie Bortfield, Delia Gray. Page 5-6 is torn out. The next page begins the details of the Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor Marietta Street Mission. Dr. wilbur Fisk Glenn, pastor of the Atlanta First United Methodist Church involved the congregation in the Marietta Street Mission during his pastorate. T are approximately 105 handwritten pages in the book which spans the years 1890-94. Good condition. Of special interest is a memorial to Camie Dill an early member of the group who died of consumption,Sept.6,1894,several pages in length. some other names mentioned are:F.M. Robinson president, W.L. Hubbard,JR, Dr. William King, Susie and WessieBoartfield,J.A.Flood,Lizzie Hendrix, Hattie Wright, Edie Tillander,alice Dill, J.A. ware, F.M. robinson, J.F. Barclay, Sallie Martin, Ed South,Henry Meyer, Leslie pruitt, R.K. Paul etc. Interesting piece of Georgia history! Please see my other auctions for an original blank receipt from the Asa G. Candler Wholesale Druggist company which was found in this book and is dated 189-. Candler,of course,bought coca-Cola around this time. I'm not sure what the connection to this group was to Candler,but on the back,written in pencil are written some of the same names found in the book. Winner pays $5 shipping in the USA.
