1890s BRAINERD & ARMSTRONG 3 Drawer Oak SPOOL CABINET

This auction presents a beautiful Eastlake style three-drawer oak SPOOL CABINET that held "BRAINERD & ARMSTRONG'S SPOOL SILK". The cabinet has wonderful original "Best In The World" decals on both sides and the company's name carved on the front. T are Eastlake details, original brasses and handsome moldings. The back has another decal warning the retailer not to use the cabinet for other than Brainerd & Armstrong threads. The cabinet measures 19 1/2" wide, 17 1/2" deep and 11" high. It is in excellent estate condition with just a minor water stain on the top. One of the side decals has very minor wear--not at all a problem but mentioned for accuracy. The only concern is that the original glass drawer fronts have been replaced with mirrored glass. Should be easy to change this back to clear. This is an outstanding and hard-to-find spool cabinet for any collection! T is a very low reserve on this auction to help cover our investment so please don't hesitate to bid.
