A really nice presentable Antique VICTORIAN green glass patent bottle. having all the character and feel of a bottle blown in the period of the Victorian art of glass making. blown in a nice green glass of the period into a two part mold and finished off with an applied applied top lip to its neck.. clean and in a good condition.usual wear to its body see pictures..not bad for a bottle this age.(been buried underground for 120 years). dates to the early 1890's period of old England's history covered in the style of embossing to the period. The bottle is embossed with the detail: BODDINGTONS STRANGEWAYS . MANCHESTER . Bottle shows all the signs of the period within the quality ( was there any) small crude imperfections air seeds bubbles held within the glass and a finishing to its life usually due to being hand packed and stacked by young children of the period that was the dark dreary Victorian era..of the Industrial revolution.. *Youngsters were employed in the glass making industry from the age of 8 years from the 1830's up to the 1890's when the age was raised to 12 years of age..* standing at approx 8 1/2 inches in height.a very desirable and much sought after collectable Victorian applied top patent mineral water bottle..
