This is a small Victorian chamber bell from the late 1800's. It has an iron shell bell with cast iron scrolled handle and cast iron ball clapper. Nice tone. Measures only 3 1/4 inches tall and 1 5/8 inches across at the bottom of the bell. Traces of original paint. Shows use but is a nice item. Used to summon the maids. Similar to a school bell but much smaller. Victorian Era The Victorian era of the United Kingdom marked the height of the British Industrial Revolution and the apex of the British Empire .
