On the block today is this nice "Modelo Argentino 1891" bayonet. This knife has the military crest and matching numbers on the blade and scabbard. It is in very good condition with only a few dings from the last 100+ years of handling. The blade is still nice bright steel with very few blemishes; the scbbard is also very nice with only 2 very small dents. This piece is true surplus as it has never been sharpened. Grinder marks are clearly visible from original manufacture of this blade. Made of quality Solingen steel by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. Blade length is 15 3/4", overall is 20 1/2". The handle is brass with steel pommels. I'm not sure if the frog on the scabbard is correct; it's just what was on it when I bought it. If you have any questions please ask them. Winning bidder please make payment within 3 days of end of auction. PayPal is preferred. I have other bayonets listed now also. If you win more than one auction I will combine shipping to help save you some cash. Thanks. No international on this one, sorry.
