1891 $2 SILVER CERTIFICATE WINDOM NICE MID GRADE Welcome to our auction!! This auction is for the very popular 1891 silver certificate. This note is Friedberg # 246 with the signature of Tillman and Morgan. This note is often referred to as as the Windom note because of the vignette of William Windom on the obverse. Windom served as Secretary of the Treasury from 1881 - 1884 and again from 1889 until his death in 1891. This note is a strong mid grade note with crisp paper that has no rips, tears or pinholes and sharp edge with bold coloring.
