Offering, from the 1892 - 1892 Columbian Exposition and Worlds Fair, a souvenir paperweight that is meant to like like a stack of 10 gold coins. The top "coin" has an image of Christopher Columbus at the center with "Christopher Columbus 1492 - Chicago, U.S.A - 1892 around it. The bottom of the stack is stamped "PAT APPLIED FOR." It is about 1 3/8" in diameter and 1" high. It weighs about just about 8 ounces. It appears to be made from Brass, but I suspect that it has a core of something more dense, like lead. There is a bit of rubbing wear on the top, as well as various contact marks and small areas of discoloration, overall. I invite you to have a good look at the photos before bidding. All items ship within 24 hours of receipt of cleared payment! (Sundays and Postal Holiday, excepted.) It pains me to have to point out that New Jersey Residents are subject to 7% Sales Tax.
