Black cloth boards with gold gilt on the front art and the spine lettering. This has been rebound. See the close up image of the spine area which I provided. Stated "two hundred copies..." edition. "Immanuel Kant's categorical imperative should have been "Be born Rich." Kilgore Trout The condition of the book is in solid VERY GOOD condition. A tight binding with no loose pages. Clean inner pages with NO markings. The lettering on the spine is crisp and bright. The text pages are white paper with no flaws. Flaws: Front cover: The gold gilt has been worn away in spots; mainly on the right side. Back cover: Light dampstain which faded the vertical edge opposite the spine. Contimues below the flying vampire on the bottom section of the cover. Spine: Very slight cant. Endpages: Obivious browning in front and rear. See image below. The front endpage has a very small used bookstore sticker on it. Inner pages: Every illustration page and the photogravure page show light foxing. My grading terms are : MINT ; Like it came off the factory press. I rarely use this term to describe an item. FINE; A clean copy with no spine creases and only minor wear or dust jacket rubbing, etc. A tight, square binding and white pages. VERY GOOD; A general read copy but still clean. Can show light spine creases, light dust jacket creases or tiny nicks along the edges, normal shelf wear, etc. GOOD; Obvious used copy with visible spine reading creases, cover, visible cover rubbing or light corner folds or bumped spine areas. Clean inside pages but possible browning, etc. FAIR; Still in tact and readable but obvious flaws, edge tears, etc. POOR; You just want to read the book. Loose pages, major rips, creasing, serious spine roll, etc. BOARDS are the actual material of the outer cover BUMPED is when the boards get a tiny indentation Yellowing or Browning is when the acid in the paper causes discoloring of the inner pages - Chip is a small piece missing from the edge of the dust jacket - Crease is a bend in the paper or DJ but not to w the paper was physically folded. But a crease can be seen - Dampstain is a light stain resulting from water or other liquid damage - End Papers are the sheets of paper pasted onto the inner covers, joining the book block to the covers. FFEP stands for front free-endpaper. This is the first page of any book; usually blank. Foxing is the term used for the rust colored spots which are from oxidation of both organic and iron impurities left behind during the paper making process. " Go to Hell, I'm reading."
