This is an original antique photographic trade card issued by the flamboyant Western Photographer Rocky Mountain Joe Sturtevant of Boulder, Colorado. This card measures about 5" x 3" and features a photo of the mustachioed Sturtevant holding a rifle and wearing an oversized cowboy hat above a caption that reads "Rocky Mountain Joe". The card has text that reads: The Leaders - J.B. and A. Sturtevant's - Only Place In Boulder For Boulder County Colo., & N. R'Y and Chautauqua VIEWS - 5 x 8 Inches, Postpaid To Any Part of U.S., 10 Cents Each - Special Attention Paid To Kodak Work - 1761 12th Street, Boulder, Colo. This card is not dated but looks to be late 19th century and was probably produced around 1895 to 1900 or so.
