No. I - Incredible content! - NO RESERVE Measures 9 3/4" x 10 1/4" Original publication from one of Hawaii's earliest periodicals which: In 1888, when Hawaii was still a monarchy, King Kalakaua commissioned a magazine under royal charter to be Hawaii's ambassador to the world. That magazine was Paradise of the Pacific . For nearly a century, Paradise of the Pacific promoted local business and tourism by assuring citizens of the United States that the Islands were civilized. In 1966, Paradise of the Pacific became HONOLULU Magazine . Dated at the front November 1896! Fascinating content, including: Articles "Kamehameha the Great" and "Hamakua and Hilo Coast" Photo illustrations of Nuuanu Pali and Plantation Landing on HawaiiAdvertisements for The Hawaiian Annual and California Feed Company A cache of these were recently acquired from a New York estate Very good condition for an paper item over 100 years old!!
