the gnomes have sorted this out for me .,.., under orders of the house cleaning gnome......... Solid Silver Hunter Pocket Watch....... retailed by R Crawford of Paisely (scotland ) almost mint condition , cleaned and oiled ....... this is what the head gnome has to say about it............. movement , english lever double barrel key wind ( i will find you a key ) marked R Crawford. Paisley . winds anti clockwise .... with original dust cover serviced , cleaned and oiled , seems to be working well and keeping good time . i like this type of movement, much less to go wrong with them than a fusee and just as good if not better ...... case , hallmarked chester 1897 makers mark I.J.T.N very very good condition almost mint .... 55mm diameter not including pendent weight off case over 2 ounce or 62 grams ( history bit, don't read if you get bored ... the pendent was made by C Horner of halifax , the ones that made the thimbles and hat pins. they had the tooling to make these and sold them to other watch case makers . it has the CH mark and the date letter x for birmingham 1897 , but not a town mark, both my mum and nan worked for horner's on and off from 1912 till about 1968 . you can wake up now .) dial, seems to be perfect , checked with a glass....... fitted with new glass ( not plastic ) could be as old as the watch ., please take care of the glass i don't have any more this size to fit .... mail me if you require more information or pics ........... please look at the other watches i will be listing on a buy it now non of the prices are OTT just fair to both of us ............. please take a look at my other bits and bobs, some good, some bad other just junk..... if you are happy tell a chum if not tell me(us) david/s and the head gnome........
