BEAUTIFUL 1897 Universal View Company "TRIUMPH" STEREOSCOPE WITH Set of 30 YELLOWSTONE CARDS . This stereoscope is in excellent condition. The lenses, metal and Bird's Eye Maple wood are all free of defects. This stereoscope is in original condition with original fabric. The patent date of 1897 is stamped on the wood stem. The manufacturer name is stamped on top of the metal plate as seen in the photo. "Universal View Company "TRIUMPH", Philadelphia USA" A stereoscope is a wonderful antique to possess. At the end of the 19 th century, the stereo viewer was to be found in nearly every middle and upper class parlor. Stereoscopic, or 3D photography continues to offer today something that no ordinary photograph can offer, namely, a sense of depth and image realism. The viewer comes with a a complete 1904 Set of 30 Cards from Yellowstone National Park. This set is near mint and is a beautiful display item with your viewer. (Value $150 on Ebay as I post this listing. This item makes a great home décor item and source of entertainment for family and guests. I will be listing additional early 1900 authentic cards including Native American and Canadian Hunting. I'm more than happy to combine auctions.
