1898 INDIAN CENT, Repunched Date, ANACS MS62 Red Brown

This is a lovely uncirculated 1898 Indian Head Cent. It was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. It has been certified and graded Mint State 62 Red Brown by the prestigious American Numismatic Association Certification Service (ANACS) .

ANACS calls this a Repunched Date Error. I see a minor repunching under the 1 in the date but when I looked through The Flying Eagle & Indian Cent Attribution Guide by Rick Snow and could not find a match.

Weight: 3.11 Gram, 19 Millimeter, .950 Copper .050 Tin & Zinc. Mintage: 49,821,284.

A Guide Book of Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cents by Richard Snow.

Reverse: ONE CENT

The Coin: A very pleasing mostly red mint state example, quite lustrous. It would make a nice addition to a collection of Indian Cents. As grading is subjective please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
