You are invited to bid on this antique Victorian pocket watch made by Omega. The watch is made of .935 grade (sterling is lower grade being only .925) solid silver and is fully stamped, as shown. This watch is not in working order and is sold for spares or repairs only and is strictly sold as seen. I am not an expert in watches so have taken some close up pictures in the hope it helps! These pictures form an integral part of the description although I will describe what I see to the best of my ability. The front glass (feels like plastic? though) does not stay in place but otherwise it appears in good antique condition. The case does not have any obvious dings or dents and the cartouche remains blank. The pretty face is highlighted with gold? to indicate minutes accompanied with roman numerals. The hands are a copper or rose gold colour. When using a loop (10x) and turned into the light there is what appears to be a small hairline to the enamel? face. It is between 5-6 o'clock and is just about visible in the pictures. Under the first back cover it has various marks, including maker, purity and serial number 1672642 which I believe dates it to circa 1899, see pictures. The next cover is engraved by Fredk Leach, perhaps the original retailer or after a service? The reverse of this cover is marked again for silver etc. All hinges appear read more
