This gorgeous fish pendant was custom made around 35 years ago by the famous jewelry firm H. Stern (purchased at the flagship store in Brazil). It is made of solid 18k yellow gold and weighs a substantial 25 grams. Beautiful craftsmanship and incredible detail! It measures 3" from the top of the bail to the end of the tail, 3/4" at its widest point and 5/8" from gill to gill). Individual sections are finely articulated so that the fish bends or moves at each joint. The eyes are bright green natural emeralds (3mm for an estimated weight of .20 carats). The jaw of the fish opens to conceal a secret compartment. It was probably for cotton which would be dabbed in a small bit of perfume. Any color shifts you see in the photos are just colors reflecting from the surroundings. The gold is bright and beautiful! This pendant is really a show stopper. Will look fabulous on a stiff gold choker style chain or heavy gold chain!! I've never seen another piece as unique and I am listing this with an opening bid below scrap value.
