STUNNING!! 18K Gold Balestra, Italy, Necklace with 18K Gold with Blue Topaz & Diamond Pendant
This auction is for an amazing piece of fine Italian jewelry, created and signed by Balestra, ITALY. This piece is 18K plain bright finish yellow gold fancy slide thru designed pendant bezel set with 1 trilian mixed cut topaz measuring approx 5.5 mm x 5.5 mm x 3mm. The hue is listed on the appraisal as being 'very slightly greenish blue' with a tone of 3, and a 2 - 2 1/1 saturation. The topstone is 1 round brilliant full cut diamond measuring approx 2/4 mm in average diameter and weighing approx .05 ct. The clarity grade is an SI 1, and the color grade is a G. The pendant measures approx 13.35mm x 10.88mm. Attached is an 18K (S750 Italy) yellow gold bead styled neckchain measuring approx 1.4mm in width and approx 18 inch in length. Lobster clasp. Manufacturing stamp "Balestra." Finished pendant weight approx 6.87 grams with gemstones. The appraisal puts this piece, precious metal base price at 315.50 back in 2002, with a replacement value of 650.00. I'm sure that number is significantly higher with today's price of precious metal and gems. This is a fantastic necklace and pendant. The clasp is in fine working order, and the pendant is gorgeous!! The diamond really sparkles. The fact that its an Italian piece is even better. Any time I hear the words "Fine Italian Jewelry" I tend to perk right up. I was going to keep this little treasure, but my Father reminded me I'm in the business of resale. Not 'for keeps'. Alas, he is right... I'll be sending the appraisal copy along with this, from Exquisite Jewelry. It could use a gentle cleaning, as t are a few very minor spots on the pendant itself, but I'm going to leave that up to the winning bidder.
