This auction is for a beautiful 18K White Gold Band with the loveliest Art Deco floral design. This marked 18K ring looks to be an early design in white gold. The style puts it into the 1920s or 30s. It has lovely Art Deco stylized flowers along the band. One small section does not have design. It has been repaired or sized, as t is an area that is without design & slightly thicker. T's a picture. But, it is also very solidly repaired. Other than that, which is not unusual for a 90 year old ring, this dear ring is in excellent vintage condition. The weight is 2.3 grams & it is a size 7. I imagine it was once one of those tiny size 4 rings few can wear, hence the re-sizing (which is what I think in regard to the repair). The flowers have worn a little, creating a beautiful, soft design. It's difficult to tell in the pictures, but each flower has 5 petals, with one petal longer than the other 4. It has a geometry to it that's really cool in a floral design. The flowers are still raised & obvious, but not as sharp as I imagine they were when new. The picture that best shows the raised design is the one on wood, my beat up oak desk pull-out. Rather like a fine antique chair, this piece has retained it's original design while developing a lovely softness that only comes with age. That's what I love about vintage & antique jewelry.
