For sale is a very good late 18th to early 19th c hand forged iron bag axe or hatchet. It measures 8 and 1/4 inches long. The axe end is 3 and 1/4 by 3 inches. The handle was punched through by the blacksmith for a hanging hole. It is in very good condition, the blade has been sharpened in recent history. Forge line can be seen in picture.
