Up for bid we have a great little RW period short sword. Blacksmith made. Blade appears to be that of a Scottish Basket Hilt broadsword. Blade is 23 1/4" long, 1 3/8" wide. Tripple fullered on both sides. No markings. Tip is pitted. I would say, from standing in a dirt floor building, for many, many years. Hand forged guard, and pommel. Wood looks like Walnut in the pictures, but in person, looks like Cherry. Very sound, and all is tight. Beautiful patina, with the only detractor being the point. It's not often, that you run across a sword of this vintage, in this nice of condition. Don't miss it!!! Payment due within 10 days of auctions close. Sale is final. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks for viewing, Good Luck!
