Antique 18th century cast bronze SWIVEL-CANNON. This cannon known as "Lantaka", "Rail Gun" or "Deck, Cannon" was used by the legendary Malay pirate's vessels. This cannon with small cannon-balls was powerful offensive weapon. Lantakas were manufactured during the 17th and early 18th century in Holland by Dutch East India Company for export to Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines. In the 18th century most of them were cast by Dutch colonists in Indonesia and also by a local people.
