Description
This attractive Chinese export porcelain teacup and saucer set is attractively molded in the shape of a lotus flower. The decoration follows this moulded shape and is executed in the Imari style. The central decoration of the saucer and the interior decoration of the cup consist of a scene with two Chinese figures next to a building. Diameter saucer 4.25 inches (10.5 cm) and height of cup 1.5 inches (3.5 cm). Age Kangxi or just thereafter, circa 1720. Guaranteed over 250 years old. Condition Excellent, with the saucer having some crackling in the glaze as well as a 0.15-inch chip top the rim and the cup having a 1.25-inch stress fracture.
