Antique Brass Button from 18th Century France This button is one of a group of four buttons that are sisters, very alike but none exactly alike as they are hand-painted antique brass buttons originally from France. They are beautiful, in wonderful condition, intriguing and captivating seeing up close. This is button D, using this to identify the individual buttons, so if you'd like take a close look at each one and if any particular one happens to speak to you more than another I am shipping them according to which sells, if you win D, you will receive D. My family found them packed away and in researching these little gems realized they are wonderful pieces of history that should be passed along to true collectors and hobbyists. In excellent condition, none of the four are chipped, cracked worn or broken, only one button has minimal oxidation on the back, which appear as a few faint black dots no bigger than a button hole. Please message me with any questions and if you are unsure of my testament, please feel free to research online or in a library the history of this category of antiques, it is a wonderful find! There are a few other buttons that are very similar I even found here on eBay. They are each the same size, very slightly over 1" in diameter, less than 1/10" over the first inch line on a ruler.
