You are bidding on a gorgeous Hand Wrought Revolving Toasting Trivet for Open Hearth Cooking. This was purchased at a very good Lancaster County estate auction but I do believe it is a reproduction of an 18th century toaster. It is marked on the bottom MAFC. The work that went into making this toaster is remarkable. Please check the pictures for the workmanship. If you can buy these, they are not cheap! This one measures 17 1/2" long, 13" wide, and 8 1/2" high. The toaster or cooking part is on a revolving trivet. It is a misnomer that these were only used for bread. They cooked all kinds of food on them. This would look super in front of your or hanging next to your fire place. This is certainly not new but I do think it was made after WWII. However this is only a guess. It does show some ware and a little pitting. I am selling with no reserve. Good Luck!
