You are Bidding on a Rare 18th Century French Crewel Embroidery. Description: This incredibly beautiful 18th century embroidery features hand embroidered floral vines done in a fine wool crewel chain stitch on woven linen. This is a wonderful piece for the serious collector of 18th century textiles. The ground color is natural linen. The flowers are embroidered in lovely deep blue, gold, pink, red, green and light brown. We've also photographed the back. The fabric measures 39.25" x 32.25" This is a lovely piece and would be wonderful for framing, a pillow, quilting, etc. Condition: This is an antique fabric. It is in fair to good condition. T are some places w the embroidery is broken; t is some surface dirt and a spot in the lower right corner (see photos). All fabrics, wallpapers and paintings are sold "as is".Our items are vintage and some are more than 100 years old. We try our best to list all imperfections, however on occasion we may miss a few.
