18th C French Louis XVI Gilt Carved Fire Screen with center Needlepoint panel. Approx. 10 by 16 by 28 inches tall. Charming with gilt ribbon cartouche. Stretcher style legs and construction. Superb needlepoint on silk depicting a large vase of flowers with a butterfly There are chips and cracks as expected for an item over 200 years old. It is quite wonderful and displays beautifully. Also a bit of shredding to the silk though it is quite contained. Back by old card. These pieces are now being shown as pivotol items in Modern Environs. I recently purchased a small collection of Carved antique items from a Versailles Village Chateau. Last photo shows the entire grouping of the items available. Payment is due within 7 days
