T are many more on the way including 17th and 18th century rush, candle, hanging betty, crusie, brass and whale oil lamps. This is an extremely rare all original and complete hand wrought iron adjustable spiral courting candlestick with it's original hand wrought rattail height adjuster. It also has it's original hand wrought hanger that is part of the spiral candle holder itself. It was designed to be hung from the back of a chair or whatever else was available. The hanger has a wonderful hand forged shape, wide at the middle and tapering to a sharp point at the end. This is primitive craftsmanship at it's best. The forged spiral iron candle holder in mounted in it's original elm or maple turned wood base that shows age worn beauty with an extraordinary warm dark aged patina that only time can give.
