This is for an 18thC very fine handmade Mechlin lace length.... It is approx. 4ft long x 2 inches wide.... It is in good condition for its age and is a lovely light cream color...... There are a few small light age marks, and a few small breaks in this length, please see pics..... There is, what we belive to be an original, handwritten tag pinned to this piece.... The ground is rather unusual and could be classified as an Armure ground, not sure..... It is possibly a varient of the snowflake ground..... At any rate, it is rather rare to find a whole length of this type ground..... It is a nice piece for any collection and the naturalist design is worked with very fine threads...
