19" Alt Beck & Gottschalck #1362 Vintage German Doll This is a wonderful vintage doll named Sweet Nell, marked ABg 1362 Made in Germany 2 on her bisque socket head. Her head is on a composition ball jointed body. She is in a pink antique-style dress with silk undershirt, skirt and pantaloons that are attached (see photos). Her shoes and socks are also included. The clothing may have been made by my Mother and are newer than the doll. She has pierced ears but no earrings. She has blue eyes that at one time opened and closed but they are stuck in the open position. Her mouth is slightly open and her front top teeth show. Her body is in good condition but she does have a few wear spots on her ball joins on both her elbows and knees. She also appears to need restringing on her right side as that side seems a little loose. She has all her fingers and toes and there are no cracks that I could find. She does have a black mark on her back on the left side. She also has some discolored dots on her left upper leg and what looks like a patch mark on her lower left leg that looks like it was done at the time she was made. She comes from a non-smoking home. She has no bad odor. The hair is partially detached from the skull cap in the back and her hair is a little disheveled. I am not a doll expert this is from a collection that belonged to read more
