I have for sale another early Eastlake aesthetic picture frame with incised carvings.. This frame measures 14." by 12." with a glass area of 8" by 10". The photo area measures 7.5" by 5.5" . This frame is a bit different as it does not have tiers. It has deep sides ( 2.5"). The liner is actually carved on the edge of the faux wood grain area that has the nice deep carvings. The sides are walnut, ebony and then walnut. The carvings are deep and bright. The glass is very old with some waves and a nice bubble in the lower right hand corner. The print is of a sweet little girl in a white dress, large brimmed hat and a basket of flowers. It is a copy of an early lithograph. If you follow my listings of frames you will note that I sell frames, mainly Eastlake and always try and find interesting photos etc to put in the frames to make them more appealing. It is great when I have original matting but this is not always the case so I have made copies of matting from other old frames I have sold. In this case the matte is one I have copied. It is made from heavy paper and I have applied gold around the picture area. It is quite charming and if desired you could add a picture of your own. This is a lovely frame in very good condition all ready to hang on your wall. As far as I can see nothing has been touched up on this frame and it appears to be in original condition. The liner is not shiny gilt like some of the others I have sold. It is more of a flat gold color. It does not appear to me to have been repainted but I am not an expert so I thought I would mention that t is that possibility. I am listing a few other frames today (Eastlake etc.) and also have three or four currently listed and when possible I am always happy to combine shipping. I use large bubble wrap and styrofoam to create a box around the frame and then pack it inside another box. I charge actual shipping plus $1.50 towards the cost of packing materials.
