You are bidding on a mixed lot of 19 early mushroom type wood drawer knobs dating, I believe, to the late 1800s. All of these knobs are attached to the drarwer with a threaded wooden dowel and work best with early furniture having large holes for dowels. The dowels can be cut off or the holes can be filled, however, and the knobs can be adapted for use with wood screws. T are 7 matching knobs at the top of the picture (an odd one got in t by mistake, sorry). These are 2 inches in diameter and have interesting and somewhat unusual turnings. I believe that these and all of the other knobs are walnut. In the mixed group, one knob has a very exaggerated mushroom look. It is 2 1/4 inches in diameter across the top and 1 inch in diameter at the base. These knobs are in as-found condition and need to be cleaned and waxed. Some may need refinishing and a couple have chips. Similar auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Thanks for looking.
