First edition.Glenn Brown (1854-1932) was an American architect and historian whose buildings are listed on the U. S. National Register of Historic Places. He is perhaps best remembered for his comprehensive two folio History of the United States Capitol which is now offered for your consideration. Contains many fine architectural plans, photographs, portraits and historical prints.Condition: These two folios, each measuring 15 inches by 11 inches, are bound in gilt decorated red cloth. Some white smudging and spots to boards; front hinges cracked. Contents very good.
