You are bidding on an ATTRACTIVE AND X-RARE TOWN & TOKEN (HIGHEST BOOKING TOKEN UNDER "BISHOP" IN CALIFORNIA TOKEN BOOK) "good for" style trade token which actually is good for " GOOD FOR 12 1/2C IN TRADE " at a business called " CLARK HOTEL " ( used in hotel bar ), which was located in small eastern sierra town of BISHOP , CALIFORNIA This is a RARE TOKEN from a RARE TOWN . The town of Bishop is located in beautiful Inyo County California...one of toughest counties in California to find tokens from. Bishop is on beautiful highway 395, and not far from Owens Lake, Lone Pine, Big Pine, Laws, the Alabama Hills, Independence, Bishop, Keeler, Darwin, and the entrance to Death Valley National monument. (you haven't lived until you went to mule days, or walked into schats bakery on an empty stomach) This particular variety token is one of the hardest to find from a tough inyo county town. Token is listed as k-5 in the California token book (Kappen) and is a tough one to find. (a Bodie token which booked for $37.50 in Kappen recently sold for $6000.00......yeah, the prices in this book laughingly low) THIS IS A RARE TOKEN, FROM A TOUGH EASTERN SIERRA TOWN. (this token is highest booking under bishop in the original California token book) This token would have been used inside the bar located inside the "CLARK HOTEL" in downtown Bishop
