I will be honest and straight forward. The coin that I am selling (along with the others you see listed under my name), I know nothing about them. I only know what I have researched in the last few days since I inherited them. I never knew of the importance, value and history these coins held until just recently. So, with that being said, what you see is what you get. However, I did find out through a local dealer what the average value of the coins are today and the basics of what collectors look for in coins such as these. My grandfather passed and I received a third of his estate. This included 2 coffee cans filled with these coins. I was advised not to attempt to clean or refurbish these coins, but to leave them the way I found them. I honestly do not know how long these coins sat in the coffee cans nor w my grandfather got them from. We (my family) had no idea he even had them until his death. This particular coin has what someone told me to be "mint strike errors." If you look at the back of the coin, you will see stray strikes (stamps) next to the base of both wings and directly above the eagles head under the word "we." On the front you will see the same strike error on her cheek. If you have any other questions or need any additional information, just send me an e-mail. I will ship for free with delivery confirmation. If you would like insurance, you pick up the tab. As I said before I really dont know much of the coins which is why I cant provide you with all that "technical, collectors type of language", I just know what my local dealer wanted to give me for the coins which prompted me to E-bay.
