The Ledger Monthly was published 1898 - Dec. 1903. Published by Robert Bonner's sons. This collection of volumes is full of period advertisements along with several beautiful full page color illustrations. It is a reminder of the style and elegance of the Victorian era. Starting with November (October and December are not included and were removed) and ended with September 1900. Some pages were taken out, but there are still many, many gorgeous and bright color advertisements. Includes original stories with illustrations, Arts and Crafts house floor plans, fashion, etiquette (The Binks Family), gardening, recipes, military photographs, remedies, etc. You could spend hours looking through this book. There are approximately 32 pages in each month's edition. Total amount of pages is 300 pages approximately. Foxing (spots) on some of the pages, small water stain here and there but basically this book is in very good condition. Black leather spine/hinges slightly loose. Bound in a marbled design hardcover. Several scuff marks and wear from age on covers. Here is the list of illustrators: F. Adams Bredus WL Hudson,F.A. Hair tonics, fashions of the day, etiquette, Advice columns, War stories (Spanish American), etc.
