You are bidding on a VERY RARE old "good for" trade token once used "good for 1 drink" at the "VERDI SALOON" in the old mining camp of Sonora, California.

Sonora is a historic California Gold Rush town which goes back to 1850 era, located in Tuolumne County California. Town was named after the famed mining camp of Sonora in Mexico. Town is located on famous highway 49 located between mining towns of Columbia and Jamestown Ca.

I know that Sonora had a significant hispanic miner population...it is possible the "Verdi Saloon" could be "Green Saloon" but that is spelled "Verde" instead of "Verdi" (which is how a town in Nevada spells its name) :)

Genuine SALOON tokens from California gold rush towns are just flat out hard to find....this is one you just do not see.

Trade token is brass, round, about 21mm in diameter, and it displays nicely. (please see pictures in gallery) Token has natural patina intact, has not been cleaned

One side says : " VERDI SALOON (bow tie pictorial) SONORA,
