Up for auction is this Rare early 1900's Chelmsford Springs Old English Ginger Beer Stoneware Mug with nice blue paint. It dates to the early 1900's from the Chelmsford Springs Co Chelmsford, Massachusetts, It stands 5 inches tall and is in great condition considering it's age, t is a smal chip at the base(can be seen in the picture) but to be expected in an old collectible piece like this. Below is a little history of the maker. Chelmsford, Massachusetts was the birthplace of the Chelmsford Spring Co. in 1901, which later became the Chelmsford Ginger Ale Company, acquired by Canada Dry in 1928. The ginger ale plant, rebuilt in 1912 after a disastrous fire consumed the original plant, stood on Route 110 until its demolition in 1994. The Chelmsford brand of golden ginger ale continued to be manufactured by Canada Dry for decades. Currently, it is manufactured today by Polar Beverages
