For sale, an EARLY & TOUGH NEVADA TOWN (THIS IS ONE MERCHANT TOWN...ONLY TOKEN LISTED) old "good for" style trade token which actually is " GOOD FOR 10C IN TRADE " at a business called " McGEARY (thomas f. mcgeary, grocery, dry goods) ", which was located in tiny old downtown of DUCKWATER, NEVADA NICE OLD TOKEN FROM VERY TOUGH NEVADA TOWN. (many nevada token collectors like to have at least one token from each town...for this town, this is it) The tiny little town of Duckwater has a population of around 300, located in Nye County, located on the eastern edge of the Duckwater Shoshone Indian Reservation, northeast of Tonopah Nevada If you look at the Nevada token catalogs, this is ONLY token issued from this small Nevada town. I track real world historic prices and have seen this token sell as high as $108 in a prominent northern nevada auction house. This merchant Thomas F. McGeary ran a grocery, dry goods, general merchandise business in Duckwater per old Dun business directory. Trade token is brass metal, round, about 21mm in diameter ,and it displays very nicely. (please see pictures in gallery) a great looking specimen. Has strong details, not been cleaned, natural patina. Gallery pictures should give you all the information you need.
