1900's English Souvenir China Shaving Mug Ramsgate

For the many collectors of shaving mugs , this one has to be a " must have " . About 80 years old . No maker's marks , these souvenir pieces were often made in Europe and imported into England , this shaving mug is 4 " tall and 6 " from spout to handle . Made of white glazed china , it has a handle and double compartment for soap and water . The face has a transfer print of a group of flowers ( roses in yellow and pink and daisies with many surrounding leaves ) and under the bouquet is a white banner that reads " A Present from Ramsgate " ( Ramsgate is a South East Coastal resort in England that retains it's old world charm still - it has the feel of a 50 year old time warp and is a great place to visit ) A small transfer print on the back of a single pink rose . The colors lead up to the top of the shaving mug in a mid brown and t is wear to the color at the top edge - through use . No chips or cracks . Top section has six holes for the soap and the base section is designed for easy pour and clean .
