This auction offers a turn-of-the-century German cobalt blue porcelain pin dish commemorating the GOLDEN GATE strait connecting SAN FRANCISCO to the Pacific Ocean. The hand colored transfer view of the strait is long before the bridge opened in 1937. This piece was made in Germany likely by either WHEELOCK or JONROTH STUDIOS, both famous for their wonderful porcelain transfer souvenir pieces. The leaf shaped dish is 5 1/2" long and 5" across. It sits 1 3/4" high. This dish is in excellent estate condition with no chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Really a lovely addition to a collection! U.S. Priority shipping and very careful packing is $6.00.
