This auction is for a very rare early 1900 era antique hunting/bowie knife, marked on the tang: J. RODGERS & SONS - 6 NORFOLK ST. - SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND - and with an E and R and a crown logo above it. The other side is marked with a star and iron cross. The J. Rodgers & Sons knives were considered the worlds highest quality knives in this era when it was manufactured. This one features a carved bakelite handle, nickel plated brass blade guard and 6" carbon steel blade with a total lenght of 10 1/2". Overall in near excellent condition with no rust or pitting it does show some sharpening marks, and there is a hairline through the rivet on one side but it is solid and nothing is loose. There are also initials carved into the pommel. Total weight is approx. 5 ozs. No rules, simply pay and I mail promptly. Satisfaction Guaranteed to be as described.
