This is a great item. A Bucklin rope winder / rope maker made in Chicago, patented 1901. Identical to the Bendyke model which came later as I understand. In great working condition and all original. Has much of its original finish with some light rust. Paint on wooden mount looks original also. Made to slip over the board in a fence. A collector informed me of the name of the maker as it is not cast into the iron - only the patent date is. Measures about 13" long top to bottom, not including the handle. A rare item that doesn't turn up too often. Found in south Texas. Still a solid usable item. Made of cast iron on a wooden mount. Glad to answer any questions about it or provide more pictures. Will be carefully bubble-wrapped and packed in peanuts for safe shipping. FREE SHIPPING by Parcel Select insured. Thanks and God bless!
