The 1902 Army officers sword was the turning point from combat swords to dress swords. This model replaced the m1872 calvary officers sabre. The new 1902 model was very much like the European patterns of the time. This sword has the nickle plated iron hilt,brown compostion grip and very well engraved blade with US in the center of the engraving. The ricasso is stamped ..H.K.White..New York..N.Y...
