1902-S PCGS F 12 MORGAN DOLLAR - tough date, it's nice

No mint state luster ...and no $600+ price tag either !! The reason this is such a tough date to fill in a graded set is simple. Most of the mintage was paid out for circulation. The population of Mint State examples is exceedingly low. The MS 63 in this date runs almost $650 if you found one. And over 3 large ones for the 65. I've always seen it as amazing that the 1902-S is so rare given the very late date of mintage. Another reason the coin is so full of mystery and fascination. Because of that rarity factor, most circulated ones have certainly been cleaned. It's a longshot finding one in this date and sending it off for grading and having it come back with a number. PCGS will now simply place it in one of their "Genuine" holders (meaning it's a real Morgan but cannnot be assigned a grade due to being cleaned). This coin is a nice, affordable example. Even wear on both sides and never cleaned. Solid rims. A "classic" look. It ships fast and free. Check my feedback to be certain that each and every one of my customers was pleased with their coin and how fast they received it. You will be too.
