1903 ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER CHRISTENING SPOON CASED & UNPERSONALISED Search Presented for auction is this Superb Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Christening Spoon Cased, hallmarked for Birmingham 1903 by Joseph Gloster Ltd. This superb antique Edwardian solid silver christening spoon which is unpersonalised, is hanovarian shaped with a wonderful floral embossed handle and vacant cartouche and is enclosed in its original plush lined presentation case. It is fully hallmarked to the inside of the bowl with the makers mark J.G, the Birmingham assay office Anchor, the Lion Passant denoting solid sterling silver and the date letter D for 1903 please see all the additional photos. Measuring 5 1/8" long approx. it is in excellent used condition with no dents, dings, splits or repairs and weighs 21grams by my postal scales, the plush lined case is also in excellent used condition with just light normal age wear. A superb antique Edwardian unpersonalised solid silver cased christening spoon in excellent used condition, please see all my other auctions for more quality solid silver items.
