Up for saleis this portfolio: “THE ART LOVER’S PORTFOLIO” Limited to 500 Copies of which this is No. 6 Published by: WILLIAM HEINEMANN, London, 1903. Portfolio is hard cover, and early numbered in its limited run. The portfolio contains 30 fabulous reproductions in photogravure of some of the best works by the most famous masters. Prints are mounted on white cardstock, and suitable for framing. Portfolio includes works by Van Dyck, Da Vince, Rembrandt, Durer, Gainsborough, and Holbein. This is a very good edition in the original gilt-title cloth. The cover has some fading and wear to the spine and edges. Pockets are separated from the inside cover, but all contents are present, and in good condition, with the exception of the first page which has a small red stain. Pages are clean, with some scattered foxing. Overall, the book remains in quite good condition, considering its age. Book measures approximately 15½” x 11¾”.
