Per the Huntley & Palmer website: "Tin in the shape of a bag with a handle. Surfaces decorated with imitation snakeskin. The lid has an embossed ribbon-like design running diagonally across it. Gold clasp and handle. Date: 1903-1904; Creator: Huntley, Boorne & Stevens; Publisher: Huntley & Palmers. A companion tin to the "Canteen" tin of 1901-1902 and the "log" tin from the same period. This was the third and last in a series of bag-shaped tins issued by Huntley & Palmers. The animal skin effect was described as 'shark skin'. 120,000 copies of this tin were produced. " Tin in decent conditon for age. Most of the gold on the ribbon design and handle / lock has rubbed off. Some rubbing of pattern on underside and a small paint scratch to base. Generally the paint work is good.
