Up for auction is a very decent, all original and totally un-touched leather U.S. military rifle sling for the U.S. Model 1903 Springfield
or 1917 Enfield rifle. This nice WWI vintage leather sling is in a very good state of preservation, and will mount right up to your vintage '03 or P17. The sling definitely shows its age and legitimate use, but no damage that I can see and the leather all remains very pliable and seemingly quite supple, definitely a very good candidate for display on any WWI vintage US service rifle. All of the hardware is solid brass and shows consummate verdigris which I've elected NOT to clean off (leave that up to its new owner), and the slings markings are still quite legible: "W.T & B Co. 1918". A light application of some quality leather dressing would certainly benefit this sling, but I've elected to leave it as-found. 's a very nice all original Great War vintage sling, right out of the woodwork! Have a look at the photos below and be sure to see my other auctions for more estate-acquired militaria and collectibles, ALL fresh to market! Money orders ONLY please and high bidder must respond to post-auction email notification within 48 hours of auction close and remit payment within 10 days of same or risk forfeiture of the sale. Seller reserves the right to cancel / block bids from bidders with excessive negative feedback or to re-list the item(s) in the event of system outages prior to the auction close. Buyer pays only ACTUAL shipping and insurance, to be calculated at auction close. Lastly, bidders ONLY above the age of 18 years please. Thanks, and good luck!
