In this auction I have a Victrola Victor Talking Machine that has been in storage for many many years. I do not know anything about antique phonograghs but I will try my best to describe it to you. I did some research on the internet and have learned that this is a "Monarch Jr" or Type E from 1903. T is another number on the side plate which is: 55984. I believe the box is mahogony. The box is in pretty nice condition considering its age. All of the corner pieces are t I have pictured a couple of cracks that are located in the same area.The box measures 9 1/2 x 9 1/2. Measurement from the bottom of the box to the top of the turntable is about 6 inches. The needle is not t! The felt pad on top of the turntable is attached. It appears to be worn, and has a couple tiny places that it is missing. This model has a large horn which was called a 'straight horn' and it measures about 21 inches from the edge to the elbow tip. This type horn was supposed to produce a bigger fuller sound. The horn has had a lot of the paint or finish worn off. I found a teeny tiny dent in the horn. The words "His Masters Voice" are in the picture of the dog listening to the phonograph. I truly believe that all parts are original.
