In this auction I have a Victrola Victor Talking Machine that has been in storage for many many years. I do not know anything about antique phonograghs but I will try my best to describe it to you. I did some research on the internet and have learned that this is a "Monarch Jr" or Type E from 1903. T is another number on the side plate which is: 55984. I believe the box is mahogony. The box is in pretty nice condition considering its age. All of the corner pieces are t I have pictured a couple of cracks that are located in the same area.The box measures 9 1/2 x 9 1/2. Measurement from the bottom of the box to the top of the turntable is about 6 inches. The needle is not t! The felt pad on top of the turntable is attached. It appears to be worn, and has a couple tiny places that it is missing. This model has a large horn which was called a 'straight horn' and it measures about 21 inches from the edge to the elbow tip. This type horn was supposed to produce a bigger fuller sound. The horn has had a lot of the paint or finish worn off. I found a teeny tiny dent in the horn. The words "His Masters Voice" are in the picture of the dog listening to the phonograph. I truly believe that all parts are original. To the best of my knowledge (and I have none concerning these phonographs!) all the parts are included. T is a paper NOTICE glued to the bottom of the box that is dated Mar 1, 1902 and says the phonograph is not to be sold for less than $25. The turn table will turn! T is still grease on the gears inside the box. The needle is missing so I can not tell if it actually produces sound. T are five 5 1/2 inch records in the box. I have packaged them in ziplock bags to keep them from damage. The first record is the LITTLE WONDER brand no. 654 title : "OH JOHNNY! OH JOHNNY! OH" The 2nd record is the LITTLE WONDER brand and the title is: "FOR ME AND MY GAL" the label is worn off on part of it. The last three records do not have white labels. They are all the LITTLE WONDER brand also. One is number 270 and the title is: When you were young Maggie.Another is number 372 and the title is MY DREMY CHINA LADY. The last record is number 160 and the title is KENTUCKY HOME. Also in the box is an old Christmas card. I can not read the first name which begins with the letter M. Middle initial is G and the last name is Mosbarger. I am selling this victor phonograph AS IS. I can not guarantee that it will work. The turn table will turn, the little crank thing does work. I am including a flat rate shipping and handling fee to help you check out faster. I am putting my shipping and handling fee a bit higher because I do not know exactly how much it is going to cost to ship this after I get it bundled up! If you think my shipping and handling fee is too high, please just take that into consideration when you place your maximum bid. Insurance will be included in the S&H. I will ship this UPS and will package it as good as I possibly can. If the shipping fee ends up being higher than $50, I will email you and ask or beg you for the money. Winning bidder has to pay the full shipping. No I will not refund any shipping and handling fee. Any remaining money will be for my own therapy after what I have gone through to get those pictures. Payment is due within 7 days of the end of the auction. If payment is not received, the item will be relisted and negative feedback will be left. I will accept money orders, cashiers checks, personal checks and paypal. If you send a personal check or money order, I might hold the item for 10 days to give the check time to clear. Please include the item name and number with payment. Failure to include this information could result in your item being shipped late.
