This is one heck of a tough Key date Morgan to find in this split+ grade (w/an immediate 65% jump in price at the very next grade#)-a real good Value in this grade when you can find it. Clearly one of the rarest/lowest pop dates in this long, super popular big Silver Series, and compares favorably (rarity wise) w/the more infamous rarities such as the 89cc, 93 CC/S/0, 94, and 95S. This piece is rock solid for grade & is 'oh so close' to full XF detail. Has a quite attractive, even lite original, lite rose white patina, w/sharp detail thruout incl. strong hairlines/curls, well struck up Stars, Rev. Feathers, claws, Tail, Wreath leaves, Mintmark, etc. It also has a nice, smooth surface w/an ever so subtle, hint of luster remaining in recessed areas, and no single big hits nor any spots. Eye appeal is excellent for grade range. For what its worth, conservative Numismedia is $330. though, the Tough/Key dates such as this one, usually sell for full Retail, at minimum/&often over that for inexpensive split grades such as this VF35. Pcgs XF40 is $425. A date very much in constant demand in ALL grades up to MS65. Full 7 Day Return Privilege from date of Arrival at your end -We aim to please.
